The Elim Pentecostal Church has had a phenomenal impact on the UK. This complete and official history, written in three volumes, chronicles its story from 1915 to the present day.
The second volume covers the years 1940-1980; a period of time which caused immense theological debate within the Elim movement. It features the problems faced by the denomination following the rift with founder George Jeffreys and the effects of the second world war. The expansion of the movement in the 1950-1980 period due in part to extensive mission work and evangelism is covered in depth along with the impact of the London Crusader Choir and the Prison Ministry. The stories of PS Brewster, Alexander Tee, Ron Jones, among others bring the Movement during this period to life.
The volume would not be complete without including the tragedy of Elim’s darkest day which is told with great sensitivity.
